About Management Training

Since 1998 SCG consultants have been actively involved in training of company managers, MBA students as well as business and economics professors in Ukrainian institutions of higher education (through the USAID CEUME Program in Ukraine). This has become the essential and specialized area of activity and responsibility for our leading professionals who go into classrooms and share their management approaches and experience of working with our actual clients.

Stressing "what and why does not work," exploring "what should be changed" and "how do we implement the required changes" here in Ukraine we draw on our own experience and that of other, best consulting companies. Teaching our clients in the workplace with the goal of finding solutions to management solutions has created the special feeling of responsibility of our consultant instructors advising about the choice of management ideas, or introducing management tools of business methodologies.

Everything we talk about with our clients is based on several fundamental principles:

• Holistic approach to business (which contrasts with the widespread, and narrower functional approach of specialized experts)
• Strategy defines expediency and, in the end, quality of local (functional) improvements;
• Logic of Value Creation Approach for internal and external clients; only on this basis can a real client-based approach be achieved;
• Value (Product) is created only by means of business processes;
• Solutions can not be reduplicated, but there are business principles that have proven their effectiveness in various situations.

SCG consultants regularly lecture in leading Ukrainian universities and business schools.

At the Kyiv Mohyla Business School (KMBS) we regularly lecture on "Business-Process Management" "Change Management," partly "Philosophy of Business." We also teach selectively such courses as "Management Effectiveness in Business and BSC" and "Process-Oriented Cost Management Systems (ABC)".

At the Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU) we teach "Project Analysis," "Management of Consulting Activities," "Microeconomics," and "Management of Company Development."

At the Ukrainian Institute of Stock Market Development our consultants teach "Investment Project Analysis and Development;" At the Ukrainian Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Ukraine (FPAAU) we teach "Finance Management," which is a subject on which SCG consultant Veronika Verba published two manuals: "Organization of Consulting Activities" and "Project Analysis."

At the International Christian University-Kyiv (ICU), SCG consultants teach the following courses: "Business Ethics," "Logic," "Introduction to Philosophy," "Human Resource Management."

At the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA) we teach courses in History of Philosophy, and also "Quality Control in Health Care Management" at NaUKMA's School of Public Health (a program developed in conjunction with Maastricht University (Netherlands))

Moreover, we lecture at partner institutions, such as the Ostroh Academy and the Lviv Business School of Ukrainian Catholic University (LvBS of UCU).

The primary form of our training activity is training seminars. Occasionally we conduct open seminars and trainings (see Announcements) and prepare comprehensive courses (5-7 modules, 2-3 days each) for the clients willing to be trained specifically by SCG.

The participants who successfully complete our training receive certificates issued by SCG.
